June 2026 – Frankfurt-based antitrust boutique COMMEO advised Gebr. Heinemann SE & Co. KG, Hamburg, on the takeover of the operations of the two border shops in Puttgarden and Rostock, as well as of the travel shops on board the seven Danish-German Scandlines ferries.

Heinemann primarily runs duty-free and Travel Value shops, licensed brand boutiques and concept stores at international airports, border crossings, and on board ferries and cruise ships. COMMEO both handled and co-ordinated the merger filings in Germany and Denmark and provided antitrust advice throughout the negotiations and implementation of the project.
